An assessment should also include the client becoming aware of what they do.
This doesn’t mean telling them what they do. It means EMPOWERING them to DISCOVER what they do without judgment or shame. This is the set-up for making positive forward motion within the assessment itself.
We will start with Ruthy Alon’s Bones for Life® process called Bicycle. You receive this lesson to do on your own time prior to our live session.This was my inspiration for the assessment.
Within the class, I will demonstrate how I brought this process off the floor to upright and developed a checklist that you can also use to quickly get a handle on your client’s pattern and entry points for improvement.
This material can be used with the independently mobile as well as those using a walking cane or trekking poles. I have used it successfully for those using a walker or needing parallel bars.
